The UK has passed the Tobacco and Vapes Bill (Bill 3879):https://bills.parliament.uk/bills/3879The legislation introduces a generational restriction on tobacco sales — meaning it will be illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone born on or after 1 January 2009.This applies to all tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars and heated tobacco products (such as IQOS).In addition, the Bill introduces stricter regulatory powers over vaping and other nicotine products, including rules on flavours, packaging, marketing and retail conditions. The objective is to progressively reduce smoking rates and limit future access to tobacco, while tightening oversight of alternative nicotine products. At D.A we support this direction and believe similar measures should be considered globally.
