Wood-smoked carrot alternative: a refined plant-based salmon-style product from Switzerland

One of those carefully selected, standout products I would proudly curate for the future D.A. store.

A Swiss-made, plant-based alternative inspired by smoked salmon, crafted from wood-smoked carrots by a local brand from Bern.

From a personal taste perspective, the flavour, texture, and smokiness are genuinely impressive — refined, versatile, and unexpectedly satisfying. I first tried it in a bagel at Bakery Bakery Vegan in Zurich, and since then it has stayed on my radar.

Perfect for bagels, starters, bowls, or canapés. A beautiful example of how thoughtful plant-based craftsmanship can surprise.

One honest note for improvement:

The packaging could be more practical. Considering the product contains carrots with oils and spices, a slightly larger, box-style packaging would be easier to open, store, and reuse. Once opened, the oil tends to leak, and it can only be kept upright in the fridge, which isn’t very convenient. A resealable box format would elevate the experience even further.

No affiliation, no paid promotion — just a genuine personal recommendation.
